Turning Metal into Magic (and tuition payments) Since 2016
Hi, I’m Missy—jewelry maker, former social worker, and professional “just one more cup of coffee” drinker. Welcome to Gardens Gate Jewelry, where I turn shiny things into sentimental treasures (and where every purchase helps keep my daughter in college and my dog in therapy—literally).
How It Started:
Back in 2016, I was a full-time child welfare social worker and softball mom, traveling from one dusty field to another, cheering on my daughter as she crushed fastballs. Between road trips and late-night practices, I needed a creative outlet (and, let’s be honest, a way to help cover the never-ending costs of sports gear, travel, and post-game snacks). Enter: Gardens Gate Jewelry.
What started as a side hobby quickly became a full-blown business, proving that sometimes passion sneaks up on you when you’re just trying to stay sane.
How It’s Going:
Fast forward to today, and I’m still at it—designing handmade, heartfelt jewelry that celebrates love, milestones, and life’s little moments. Whether it’s an anniversary gift that makes your spouse tear up (in a good way) or a personalized piece that tells your unique story, my goal is simple: to create jewelry that means something.
Also, I have a dog. Bailey. She’s a rescue and has enough anxiety to make a therapist take notes. A portion of my proceeds go toward her training (because apparently, “just love her” isn’t an actual treatment plan).
Why You’ll Love It Here:
• Handcrafted with Love (and Maybe a Few Dog Hairs) – Each piece is made by hand, with care, and the occasional tail wag.
• Sentimental, But Not Sappy – Jewelry that tells your story in a way that’s meaningful, not mushy.
• Supporting Dreams & Dog Therapy – Every purchase helps fund college tuition and Bailey’s ongoing efforts to be a slightly less anxious mutt.
So, if you’re looking for a gift that speaks from the heart (or just an excuse to support a small biz with a soft spot for dogs), you’re in the right place. Thanks for stopping by—I’d love to make something special just for you!
